2019 2020 Season Completed

Little Athletics is a Summer sport and we have now finished our 2019 2020 Season.  Unfortunately due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in place, our annual Presentation Day for the 2019-2020 season has been postponed. We will advise families when this will be rescheduled once we are able to hold this event.

This season was also the 40th Anniversary for our centre. We were due to hold our 40th Anniversary celebrations but this has also been postponed.

The 2020 AGM has been postponed and we will inform members of our community once we are able to hold this event.

The new season for Little Athletics begins at the end of August. Registrations will commence from 1 August 2020 through the registrations website.

Revesby Workers LAC holds competition on Friday nights from the end of August through til early March, with breaks over some of the school holidays. We welcome all athletes, new and experienced to our centre. Please see our Centre information pages to find out about age groups, registration and uniform costs and how the season operates.

Revesby Workers’ Little Athletics started as East Hills Little Athletics in 1980. Initially competition was held at Smith Park, East Hills and during the early to mid 80s there were about 100 athletes each season, but numbers picked up from around 1986, with just on 200 being registered by 1988/89.

East Hills Little Athletics voted at the beginning of the 1989 season to affiliate with Revesby Workers’ Club and so Revesby Workers’ Little Athletics Centre came into formal existence in October 1989, adopting the maroon and white colours of the Club. Competition moved to Armour Park, Revesby in the 1990s after much hard work by the committee. In the 2001/2001 season, the centre moved to its current location and a much bigger ground at the University of Western Sydney after years of negotiation by committee members, fundraising and successfully applying for grants. This move came just in time for the big jump in registrations following the 2000 Olympics.

In more recent years, the centre has gone from strength to strength with increasing registartions, upgrading equipment and technology and developing a supportive culture with families.

We are a centre focused on family, fun and fitness and encourage all our athletes to do their best each and every week.

We run our competition at the athletics field at Western Sydney University, Bankstown Campus, Bullecourt Avenue Milperra on Friday evenings with commenting at 6:30pm and finishing anywhere between 7:30 and 9:00pm. Younger age groups finish earlier.

All parents assist in the running of Friday night events.

***Parents must stay to supervise their children at all times. No child can be left at the field without an identified parent or guardian. ***
